Good news: Arduino updates!

The New York Maker Faire took place on September the 23rd and 24th. One day later, Alasdair Allan wrote us on Hackster.io [1] about the awesome two new Arduino boards that were presented on it: the MKR WAN 1300 and the MKR GSM 1400.

Both boards are oriented to the networking problem set by the IoT scenario. In fact, wireless comunication between IoT devices is been solved by adding new Tx/Rx circuitry to the SBCs. Bluetooth (BT HC-05 and 06 modules), radio, WiFi, GSM and others are the most frequently used electronic modules that combined with the SBC resolve this kind of networking.

On this respect Arduine has launched to the market two new SBCs: the the MKR WAN 1300 and the MKR GSM 1400. The MKR WAN 1300 is equipped with a low power radio Tx/Rx (low-power LoRa module) that enables the development of a network of radio connedcted IoT devices. On the other hand, the MKR GSM 1400 is integrated with a GSM module (SARA-U201 HSPA/GSM module) for 2G and 3G GSM networking.
